JUNE CAMP: Engineer It! Tinker Lab + 3D Printing
Transform creative ideas into reality in this innovative camp. It will a fun filled week of STEM projects from simple projects to using our 3D Printer where young inventors learn the foundations of 3D design and printing! Using TinkerCAD's kid-friendly interface, campers will develop digital design skills while understanding the engineering process from concept to creation.
Because 3D Printing takes a long time to produce, we are currently enrolling only Full Week Full Day, Full Week Half Day and Full Day options.
Themes & Activities may include:
Design Foundations
Understanding 3D shapes and spatial relationships by creating shapes with paper.
Learning about measurement and scale in 3D space.
Introduction to TinkerCAD's interface and basic tools
Engineering Design Process
Sketching ideas and planning designs, learing about the iterative process.
Problem-solving through simple cardboard prototyping to digital prototyping
Design & build custom game pieces, interlocking building blocks, personalized name plates and tags.
And so much more! Our activities are radically student centered based on skill level, interests and aptitude; it may change.
