SPARK Labs: LEGO Brick Building + Math

Join us for a unique learning experience where creativity and math combine to build a world of fun, discovery, and innovation, LEGO Brick Building + Math. This dynamic class combines the thrill of LEGO building with essential math concepts, fostering both imagination and critical thinking skills.
 
What to Expect:
Weekly Themes: Each week, we will tackle new building challenges and math explorations, from constructing intricate structures to solving complex math puzzles using LEGO bricks.
Hands-On Learning: Children will delve into math concepts such as multiplication, division, fractions, measurement, and geometry through engaging and interactive LEGO activities.
Creative Builds: Kids will design and build various LEGO creations, integrating math skills to enhance their understanding and enjoyment of both subjects.
Skill Development: The class focuses on developing problem-solving, spatial reasoning, fine motor skills, and teamwork in a fun and supportive environment.
Interactive Play: Activities will include collaborative projects, math games, and storytelling, promoting social interaction and communication skills.

Advanced Structures: Explore complex geometric shapes and engineering principles to build sturdy bridges, towers, and other architectural marvels.
Pattern and Symmetry: Discover the beauty of patterns and symmetry with LEGO bricks, enhancing understanding of sequences, tessellations, and balance.
Measurement and Estimation: Engage in activities that involve measuring lengths, widths, and heights, estimating quantities, and converting units.
Math Challenges: Tackle fun building challenges that require math skills to complete, such as creating scaled models, designing mazes, and solving real-world problems with LEGO solutions.
 
Materials Provided: All necessary LEGO sets and math-related materials will be provided. Kids are encouraged to bring their curiosity and enthusiasm for building and learning!
