SPARK Labs: Intro to Coding ScratchJr.

Intro to ScratchJr. + Coding is a fun-filled adventure where creativity and technology combine, opening up a world of possibilities through the power of coding! Dive into the exciting world of coding with our Intro to ScratchJr class, specially designed for kids aged 7-10 years old! This introductory course will teach young learners the basics of programming using ScratchJr, a visual programming language that makes learning to code fun and accessible.
 
What to Expect:
Interactive Lessons: Each week, kids will engage in hands-on coding activities that introduce key programming concepts such as sequences, loops, events, and conditionals.
Creative Projects: Students will create their own interactive stories, games, and animations, bringing their ideas to life through code.
Problem-Solving Skills: Through guided challenges and projects, children will develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, learning how to break down tasks and troubleshoot their programs.
Collaborative Learning: Kids will work both individually and in small groups, fostering teamwork and communication as they share their projects and ideas.

Dates: Thursdays March 27th, April 3rd, 17th, 24th, May 1st, 8th. No class April 10th due to MDUSD Spring Break
