Youth Art Instructor
We are seeking Upbeat, Energetic, Highly Responsible, Professional, and Dedicated individuals interested in a rewarding
and creative career in the rapidly expanding Art, Design, STEM Education field.
No previous art experience is required! All instructors regardless of background, are trained to teach children and/or
adults how to draw and paint through our unique and exclusive art training program.
Mission: Sparkologie is transforming how art, design, and STEM education is being taught to school age kids. With over 25 years of art & design experience, we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to help make an impact for the future generations of innovators, designers, artists, engineers and more.
Employees will have access to creative online classes to help further their skill sets & personal passions. Pediatric First Aid & CPR, Health and Safety, Mandated Reporter training programs are strongly suggested but not required and is available on-demand online, paid for Sparkologie. In addition, our instructor training, we educate the right candidates in all aspects of instructing and/or managing a Mission: Sparkologie studio including:
· Art, Design, STEM Instruction/Product Delivery
· Administrative/Management Activities
· Customer Service
· Promotion and Marketing
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Participate in regular training activities to advance and stay current with growing trends and expansion within the company.
· Be beacon of inspiration to kids. Instruct Art, Design & STEM curriculum to school age students.
· Coach, support, and keep students progressing in their individual artistic growth.
· Willingness to support studio activities and public events at various locations when needed.
· Comfortably and clearly communicate with the public about our classes and method of instruction.
· Communicate and work collaboratively with team members in an effort to support the growth of student programs and the company mission.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Previous teaching/instructing experience a plus but not required.
· Art, design or STEM experience a plus but not required.
· High school diploma/equivalent or beyond.
· Basic computer skills and knowledge of Google apps.
· PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of our clientele, full background checks, TB Test Results and fingerprinting will be required.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be clear and sound mind, capable of instructing and ensuring safety of kids.
· No drugs. Periodic drug testing may be enforced.
· Capable of physically meeting the demands of the job, especially during emergencies.
· Expected to follow plans of the curriculum.
· Adhere to all safety procedures and requirements.

DETAILS:
Job Types: Seasonal, Contract
The Pay Scale: starts at $20+ hour depending on experience. Pay increases based on training program advancement.
Expected hours: 5-10 +/- hours per week for the entirety of the role and sessions, ie 10 week session.
Bonus/incentive programs available for studio management roles & tasks.
